Reunion Memories from Jim Layton

Written in 2009

I liked the old days    As an In Law watching a group of women packed in a kitchen cooking their favorite dishes

Men pulling beer out of a horse trough    Ice cream being supervised by Richard     Wendel pulling swimmers out of the pool   Boyce being attended to by Helen using the cushions under the tail because his face was PALE (from being overserved}   All the McWards gasing up their cars in Mo because the tax in Mo was .25 cents per gal less than in Illinois (as a result Illinois is in the top 9 states of the US needing more Tarp money}

The Oakland Trust meetings when no one brought a computer   And Irene always looking for her camera for that best shot of her many grandchildren     Don looking prim and proper at the end of a hot St Louis day just as he did when he arrived   Bill Achenbach looking like a model from Lands End catalog and the same look Frank Pontious displayed from the Senior section of the catalog

And all had the freedom to smoke   Oh well just the general confusion I am sure you all remember as fondly as I do

This 2010 planning seems quite Corporate  I only wish Oakland Trust could buy stock in Greybar but as you know it is tightly held by a Corporate Whiz named Doug
