Richard D & Rose McWard Family History

 

Richard D. McWard and Rose Agatha Cashen McWard married 1904 in St. Louis, MO and had 10 children listed below. R.D. and Rose moved to Oklahoma (Vinita area in 1904 and returned to Illinois in 1908 after his Father, Robert  passed away October 29, 1908. Robert McWard was born January 1, 1837 in Ireland the son of Richard and Eliza Wilson McWard. Robert married Margaret McIntosh, who was born in in Ireland October 31, 1842 and died October 12, 1957, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. John McIntosh. Robert and Margaret came separately to the U.S. around 1858 and met in the Springfield area. Robert and Margaret had 4 children, Robert J. born in 1866 and died in 1950, William H. McWard born February 16, 1868 and died January 24, 1869, Richard D. Mcward born January 14, 1870 and died September 2, 1955 and Fannie born March 1871 and lived about two months.

Joseph McWard – January 18, 1910 Morrisonville, IL (Ricks Township home place) ~ September 1, 1984, Taylorville, IL

John Bernard McWard – May 3, 1912 Morrisonville, IL (Ricks Township home place) ~ December 1, 1984

James Robert McWard – March 26, 1914 Morrisonville, IL (Ricks Township home place) ~ February 1, 1970, Taylorville, IL

Raymond McWard – May 30, 1916 Morrisonville, IL (Ricks Township home place) ~ April 7, 1986

William Gerald McWard – April 1, 1918 Morrisonville (Ricks Township home place) ~ January 21, 1982

Edwin Merl McWard – July 16, 1920 Morrisonville (Ricks Township home place) ~ July 16, 1921

Donald Edward McWard – January 9, 1924 Morrisonville (Ricks Township home place) ~ October 31, 2010, Bloomington, IL

 

Rose McWard gave birth to Marguerite in OK  and was immediately put in the back of the wagon with Howard and Allen heading back to Illinois.  Richard D McWard was requested to return to Illinois to farm the home place.  RD had gone to OK to claim 40 acres.
